Overview video

What your assistant can do

Discover

omnivista_discover

Finds the OmniVista Cirrus data that answers a question: sites, devices, alarms, VLANs, Wi-Fi analytics.

Query

omnivista_query

Reads that data with your credentials and returns only the result the question needs.

Documentation

omnivista_documentation

Searches and reads the official OmniVista Cirrus documentation.

Questions you can ask

  • Which switches have been offline for more than an hour?
  • How many access points does each site have?
  • List the critical alarms of the last 24 hours.
  • Which Wi-Fi clients used the most data today?

Examples only: the answers come from your own network.

Get started

  1. Create an application in OmniVista Cirrus

In OmniVista Cirrus, open Applications from your user menu and create one. Its App ID and App Secret are your credentials.

    See where to find it

  2. Add the connector

In your AI assistant, add a custom connector with this server address: https://mcp.ediapps.net/mcp

  3. Sign in and ask

When it connects, the assistant opens the OmniVista sign-in page: enter your App ID, App Secret and region, then ask your question in plain language.

The region is the first part of your OmniVista Cirrus address: for https://eu.manage.ovcirrus.com, it is eu.

Where to find Applications in OmniVista Cirrus

Sign in to OmniVista Cirrus. The labels below are the ones OmniVista shows in your language.

OmniVista Cirrus user menu, with Applications
Open the user menu at the top right and choose Applications.
Applications List, with the button that creates an application
In Applications List, click Create Application.
Form that creates an application: name and target
Enter the Name and the Target, then create the application. It shows Deployed right away.
Application Keys: Application ID and Application Secret, each with its copy button
Click Edit on the row of the application. The Application Keys section gives the Application ID and the Application Secret, each with a copy button.

These are the App ID and App Secret your assistant asks for. Keep the secret to yourself: whoever holds it reads your network as you.

Read-only

The server only reads: your configuration never changes.

Nothing stored

No database and nothing written to disk: sessions stay in memory and expire. Your secret is never logged.

Each client kept apart

Sessions, limits and caches are kept per credential: no client ever sees the data of another.
